Endodontics; It is the department that performs the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases or injuries in dental pulp and periapical tissues.

When it comes to endodontic treatment, root canal treatment usually applied to large decayed teeth comes to mind. Root canal treatment; It includes the removal of the 'pulp' tissue containing the veins and nerves of the tooth, and filling the root canals with a biocompatible substance after appropriate shaping and washing procedures. However, endodontics; traumatic dental injuries, teeth whose root tip is not closed, regenerative treatments, restoration of teeth with excessive substance loss with 'post-core', root tip surgery, renewal of previously unsuccessful canal treatments, whitening of darkened teeth after canal treatment and pulp coating that preserves the vitality of teeth has such a wide range of interests.

Endodontics has been developing rapidly in both theoretical and technological terms in recent years. Our basic mission as the department of endodontics; To be able to perform treatments at the highest level by following up-to-date literature information and technological developments.In order to keep the treatment quality at the maximum level, we have equipment such as operation microscope, dental magnifiers (loop), ultrasonic devices, electronic apex finders (working length markers), rotary instrument systems.

Undergraduate and specialty education is provided in our faculty. Pre-clinical training is given to 2nd grade students, 3rd grade students are given training in the artificial patient clinic, and 4th and 5th grade students are given clinical internship training.
