Since April 2004, patients have been treated in the Department of Prosthodontics. Patients with prosthetic problems should refer to our faculty for examination. After first examination, the dental procedures that need to be done are recorded in their files. Patients whose treatments are completed except from prosthetic treatment are examined in our clinic and placed in the current line.
When it is the patient’s turn, he/she is contacted by the secretary. The patient is referred to the physician by the lecturers and research assistants. The determined physician starts the construction of the prosthesis. Our department works with a contracted private laboratory that is determined by tender. That laboratory is responsible for the laboratory stages of these prostheses.
Emergency Patients
Patients who need jaw prosthesis are included in the emergency patient group and their treatment is started immediately without waiting in line.
Since the complaints of patients with temporomandibular joint problems and tooth clenching (bruxism) are also urgent, their treatment is started without waiting in line. After these patients are examined in detail, if deemed necessary, appropriate splints and medications are treated by the determined dentists.
